Holders is a traditional Plantation House dating from the 17th century, set in 5 acres of formal and park gardens. The house has beautiful views over its huge pool and the polo ground to the Caribbean Sea.
The main house has 5 double bedrooms with air-conditioning and fans, three with newly modernised bathrooms en-suite. Upstairs there is a magnificent master bedroom with en suite bathroom and satellite TV and an adjoining balcony looking over the pool and the ocean. There are a further 2 large bedrooms upstairs which share a large bathroom newly modernized . (These 2 bedrooms are scheduled to be made both en-suite by Dec 2006 by adding an additional bathroom) and downstairs another 2 bedrooms both en-suite. The covered outdoor dining room seats 16 and there is a poolside table under a gazebo that seats 12. There is a grand piano in the large L shaped verandah sitting area which wraps round half of the house which faces west to the sea and there is a fully air-conditioned study/extra bedroom (this is also scheduled to become an additional bedroom with en-suite bathroom in Dec 2006). There are also 2 outside cloakrooms next to the study There is an air conditioned TV room with a large flat screen TV, DVD, VCR, Satellite TV and surround sound.
The garden is the home of the Holders Opera Season every March.

The House and its gardens overlook the new Sandy Lane Green Monkey Golf Course to the East and has magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea to West and is situated high on Holders Hill, reached by a long drive. Holders House has complete privacy and cool breezes. Close by is Holetown, with its numerous shops, Bridgetown is 4 miles away with the Grantley Adams International Airport approximately 35 minutes away. Sandy Lane Hotel is just a few minutes drive for golf and its magnificent beach.
This family owned Great House is let fully equipped and is run by the owner’s staff of a housekeeper, cook, maids and laundress who are augmented according to occupancy. Baby sitters can be arranged. The grounds are cared for by 3 gardeners and a guard and butler can be arranged also on request. Food and drink are not included in the rate but can be supplied by prior arrangement. There is also a house manager on duty. There is a fully equipped office with ADSL, fax machine and photocopier that can be used with prior arrangement.
